Debbie Ann Nash-King is a native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. After completing high school, she attended the University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. After being commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army, she attended the Medical Services Corp Officer’s course and completed her military tour as the Fort Hood Dental Clinic’s company commander. Upon leaving the Army, she immediately entered graduate school and earned a Master’s Degree in Human Resources from Tarleton State University. She also has Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of California.
Following her service to her country, Ms. Nash-King attended Leadership Killeen and became heavily involved in another kind of service, volunteering wholeheartedly on behalf of a variety of import causes. She has served as vice president of Killeen’s Nation Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), secretary of Killeen Volunteers Ince., and board member of KISD Education Foundation.

Debbie’s Family
Debbie lives in Killeen, Texas. She currently works for Soldier for Life – Transition Assistance Program and she is serving on the City of Killeen Council as District 2 Councilwoman. She was married to the Late CSM Retired Elijah King Jr., and she has one daughter, Elizabeth Nash, who is a senior at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
